WEST JORDAN, Utah (KUTV) — A pilot and a passenger were uninjured after they had to make an emergency landing in a soccer field just south of South Valley Regional Airport in West Jordan. Safety officials said the two-seater plane had trouble immediately after takeoff at around 10:30 a.m. Monday and landed in the soccer complex near 7800 South and 4000 West. The reason for the emergency has not been released, but West Jordan Fire Department Captain Blair Marshall said the plane was significantly damaged when it hit the ground.
